I have had an interest in languages ever since I can remember. As a child, I loved to play around with different German dialects and enjoyed learning languages in school, especially English. After school, I studied English, among other subjects, to become a teacher at the University of Tübingen. During these studies, I also did a semester abroad in Newcastle upon Tyne, GB, after which I decided to integrate languages even more into my future working life.

Since translating was one of my favorite tasks during school and university, the next step was to become a translator. So I graduated as a translator, specializing in the economy, and as an interpreter, from the IDI Sprachen-und Dolmetscherinstitut Stuttgart.

In 2015, I started to free-lance. A big dream was that one day a book I translated will be available in stores. With Saluki Marooned, German „Gestrandet", this opportunity was given to me, and the dream finally came true.

Since literary translation gives language way more space to unfold, and creativity can be combined with accuracy, I found my passion for language can be fulfilled to the maximum in this field; thus, becoming my main field of work.
